$1,000 Profit Day! Trust Guard or Law of Attraction?

So after a few weeks of slow sales, I decided it was time to refocus and really start ramping up the sales again.  For those who don't know, I've been in a bit of "holiday mode" these past few months traveling around Cambodia, making it a trip down to the southern Thai islands to scuba dive and just generally being lazy and hanging out.  Blame it on the holidays, needing a break, or being content now that I'm dating an amazing girl and life is just really, really good.  Either way, it was hurting my sales, so I decided to step it up.

What I did:
The first thing I did was install a Trust Seal on my eCommerce store.  It was something I knew I should have done months ago, but first I was a bit lazy, second a bit skeptical and third I'm cheap.  Anton had mentioned that it increases conversions, but I didn't listen.

I'm all about optimizing my store for sales, so when Anton told me for the third time,

"Dammit Johnny, just install it, they give you double your money back if it doesn't work." 

I finally gave in and said fine. The problem with it is there is no way to track to see if it works or not since it is subjective to the customer seeing it, and feeling more comfortable checking out. Shopify stores are already secure, but the trust seal just makes them feel more at ease.

This Morning's Update:
I woke up to two sales out of the blue that I didn't expect.  Neither customer called in, emailed or hesitated to order online which doesn't happen usually for larger orders.

So maybe it worked?

Maybe it was the Law of Attraction?

I woke up this morning in a good mood, and while opening up my laptop and email, I envisioned seeing a ton of sales in my inbox.  Did it work?  Yes!  Did it have anything to do with the Secret: Law of Attraction and Positive Thinking?  No clue.

But either was I was stoked!  I also happened to close a sale that was referred to me by one of my suppliers as I have a really good relationship with her.  Cha-Ching!   

Total profits today: $1,033.33

I wish I could say these kind of profits are a daily occurrence as that would mean I'm making $30,000 a month in profit from just my main store alone, but these days only happen once in a while.  The good news is though, now that I'm refocusing all of my energy on building up business over the course of the next year we can expect more of these days and really start crushing it.
